Why some Youngsters need to be their own Boss... Entrepreneurship & Intrapreneurship!

"Creative young people chafed under corporate bureaucracies are frequently left to develop their ideas as entrepreneurs. Their former employers lost not only highly promising talent, but also a chance for profitable new lines. Intrapreneuring in its current form represents the determination of such employers to solve their particular brain drain problem. They are doing so by creating the environment—and providing the incentives—for entrepreneurship within their existing business operations."---Small Business Encyclopedia: Intrapreneurship.

1. Innovative Young people are restless and chase their passion more Passionately without being bothered much about the returns...and hence achive success faster!
Most corporate employess are desparately chasing money and a higher status. Whereas entrepreneurial young people need a platform to innovate freely and showcase all that they can do. Lack of such channels force them to find an alternate way, which is most of the times, starting their own business.
2.Youngsters who are really creative and honest to their work need recognition and appreciation more than anything else..
Creative people are independent in thoughts. Do not chase money, but their dreams and aspirations. They cannot tolerate their talent being hidden or credit taken away by someone else.. that demotivates them. Hence in search of recognition for their own developments and identifying new business opportunities, they start their own companies to openly take risks and win!
Intrapreneurship can be used by companies to retain the Independent and Dynamic thinkers. They are a great asset to the firm provided they are given space and chance to prove themselves. Else they evolve into Entrepreneurs to leave their own trails in the IT world for others to follow!

A Pure Intrapreneurial System

Google paid $10 million to one of its employees as a share of profit for developing Adsense and Adword. IT Companies specially those involved in developing innovative products, need to keep innovations happening on a daily basis in order to survive in the market. Hence, encourage, infact have included innovating as a part of their techies' daily tasks(dedicating 15-20% of their working hours to finding innovative solutions/product development ideas).

This makes the system look partially Intrapreneurial, where every employee acts as an Intrapreneur. In a "pure" intrapreneurial system every employee would work purely as an intrapreneur. The CEO with his senior management staff acts as the "Master Venture Capitalist" team. The team listens to each project idea, approves and funds these projects.
The technical experts evaluate each business idea for feasibility and business value.
The Intrapreneurs or the real innovators look for new business opportunities/project ideas, do enough research on them and with all his/her literature presents the idea to the expert team and the Mater venture capitalist team.
On receiving approval, starts buliding his/her product following some defined timelines.
If the product generated enough revenues, the firm gives a share of the profits to the Intrapreneur. Else not.In such a situation the firm could have its own defined projects on which the Intrapreneurs could work within the time lapse between his/her released product and for the one he decides to introduce in his/her next cycle.
